Here are 12 cut-and-paste emails written from a pastoral point-of-view. Some encourage people to take a step – maybe to serve somewhere or make a donation. But others are written to help them take a step of faith. To offer encouragement. To provide helpful resources. To pastor people.
Make a few adjustments and send them to your congregation. Wherever you see a sample church’s name, replace it with your own. Where you see reference to a link or download, supply your own material. Personalize them to fit your own church’s culture…and then send.

As hard as it may be to watch our kids grow so quickly, we ultimately want them to grow bigger and be healthy. Both are really important. Likewise, the church should be growing in both size and in health. If we fully resolve the tension one way or the other, we will lead our church toward error.
Church growth is entirely up to God. Jesus tells Peter that He will build his church (Matthew 16:18). That doesn’t mean that we just sit around and wait for God to do something and send us a sign. God chooses to use us in the process. We see that divine partnership modeled in 1 Corinthians 3:6.
If you’re a WOW person (aka a person who is able to dream big and come up with revolutionary ideas), you’ll love these ideas. But you need HOW people to implement and take action.
