Verse of the Week

Hank says The Pastor's Planner gives him relief
Thank you,
I've been a minister for over 20 years, I have an MDiv. These last 5 years have been difficult. I felt like church members were asking for things that I didn't know how to provide. I got defensive when they asked for measurables – in part because I didn't know what they wanted.
I have spent the last half hour reading through the planner and I felt a relief that I haven't felt in quite some time. This plan has given me some real examples as to what to do, and reminded me the difference between “planning” and “having a plan.” It's better knowing that it is coming from folks who understand ministry rather than a secular business group, because they aren't the same.
Lastly, I'm grateful for the verse of the week as it is a reminder that I am doing God's work, not my own.
So thanks again, happy new year and Godspeed,
– Hank
